How do I make my perfume's smell last longer?

I put it on in the morning and by mid-morning its gone. What can I do?How do I make my perfume's smell last longer?
It may not actually be gone, you have just become accustomed to it as you wear it. Before you reapply, have someone take a whiff %26amp; see if they can smell it. Wearing scent is supposed to be very subtle, like the gentle scent of skin.

Here are a few tips to try to make it last longer: layer the scent, this means to use the cleanser (if there is one), the powder, the lotion %26amp; then apply the fragrance. The best way to apply is the mist it out in front of you %26amp; walk through it before dressing. Many perfumes can stain clothes, hence the suggestion to apply before clothes. Don't dab or rub you wrists- this bruises the scent %26amp; damages the oils in it causing the scent to not last as long %26amp; change the way is should smell. Misting your hair is a great idea too because hair holds onto scent really well. W/ a mist, just hold your arm out as far as possible %26amp; mist in front of you so that it will land on your head as you walk through. Some companies are getting hip to this %26amp; creating scents that are for hair only. If you are really having a problem keeping the scent on you, spray or apply some to a cotton pad or ball %26amp; place it in your bra. This will help the scent linger all day.How do I make my perfume's smell last longer?

put a thin layer of vaseline on the spots where ur going to apply it

*people are saying be dry and clean!? no u put vaseline on (very thin) and apply perfume* everyone knows that!!!!
This is where it pays to buy expensive perfume.

If you buy one labelled eau de toillette it has water in it distilling the scent and making it wear off sooner.

Look for ones with parfum... usually the expensive ones.. very worth it in the end.
Well, there are a few answers to this question. A good way to make the scent last longer is to spray it in your hair. Another way is to spray it on pressure points (wrist, neck) and on parts of your body that don't sweat and aren't touched very much throughout the day.

Here's the other part about perfume though: just because you can't smell it, doesn't mean it's gone. You will usually only be able to smell the perfume on your body for a few hours before your body adjusts to the constant smell. However, people who come in contact with you WILL be able to smell it. So don't spritz yourself again before lunch unless you've had a heavy workout!
Spraying perfume in your hair makes the scent last a really long time. Some perfume companies are now making scents just for your hair! Like Tom Ford re-released his Black Orchid perfume but it's made specially for hair.
spray the perfume on a cotton ball or a small pad of gauze tuck iy inb your bra evertime u sweat] you have perfume scent
buy another bottle! ^_^

actually the smell probably lasts, but you get used to the smell after a while, so you just think its gone. it is supposed to be a subtle special extra to you. if you stop noticing it dont worry, as long as you dont smell bad, you are okay!
Mix it with some petroleum jelly ( Vaseline) and it will extend the scent for a few extra hours.
spray it on your pulse spots i.e. neck wrist...
maybe your perfume is cheap usually cheap perfumes come off easier. also if you take a shower in the monrning and apply it on fresh skin it lasts longer if that doesnt work get the lotion that smells the same and apply it that way it will be all over your body and it will DEFINALTY last longer!
keep a small bottle of it in your purse? that's what i do. and always spray some in your hair. your hair holds scent the longest.
There are only a couple things you can do to make a sent on skin last longer. One is make sure that where ever you are putting it the skin is very dry to begin with, as any kind of moisture will cause the oil in the perfume to fade quickly. Another is to dab your skin(where the perfume goes) with a light powder first. It will help to make your skin dry and to keep the perfume in place. A tip to make the perfume itself last longer is to not put it on skin to begin with. If you spark it on clothing(make sure it won't stain first) or on your hair it will last a great deal longer. The only down side to putting it in your hair is it may dry your hair a little, so be careful to not use to much. You can also try doing what women did many years ago, which would be spraying it on a nice linen handkerchief and placing it in your pocket. When you feel your scent has faded take it out and run it along your skin ( at the wrists and behind the elbows is best)

*side note* All perfume fades as time passes. You bodies natural oils break it down. But if you really want the scent to stay then you could try using perfume oil itself(this is the scented oil without the alcohol they use to make it in mass amounts) It does cost more but you use only a drop or two so a bottle lasts a very long time.
